Brener and DeMine relocated from downtown to 12381 South Cleveland Avenue in order to have a larger office with room for more staff and attorneys, and plenty of free parking for their clients. Although the convenience of walking to court will be missed, the new offices are only five miles from the justice center, and have a much more luxurious feel than the former office in a hundred year old building downtown. Brener and DeMine needed to make this move, and we're glad we did.

Using Florida's "stand your ground" law, Mr. Brener argued that the state could not rebut, and the forensic evidence supported, that the client acted in the defense of his home. After presenting the testimony of his client and submitting and arguing a memorandum of law, the judge dismissed the charges, and the client was released from custody.
